Honor

“He has honor if he holds himself to an ideal of conduct though it is inconvenient, unprofitable or dangerous to do so.”  Walter Lippmann

There is honor in choosing the harder road when others stay home, going the extra mile when the rest drop out, doing the work simply because it is the right thing to do, answering the call that comes in the middle of the night.  Honor is the thing that rises to the top when the pot is boiling and you are the only one left standing there to turn down the heat.
