Evergreen Lake Park

volunteer firefighters in ColoradoIf you’re looking for something fun to do in Evergreen, come out and play at Evergreen Lake. Evergreen Lake boasts the largest groomed, Zamboni-maintained ice rink in North America with over seven acres of skatable ice, including seven hockey rinks, several family rinks, and a massive public rink. All rinks may be rented for private parties, hockey games, or even broomball.

Snuggled next to this 40-acre lake is the Evergreen Lake House, a showcase of rustic log and stone craftsmanship. It is surrounded by mountain views, a beautiful golf course, wildlife, and natural beauty. The Lake House is used as the main warming house during the winter where you can rent skates, visit the concession area, or just relax and enjoy the scenery. With an average of 300 days of sunshine each year in Colorado, a sunny ice skating day is the norm.

All of this is part of Evergreen Lake Park, which includes the lake, a 11acre park with picnic tables and grills, wetlands, an observation boardwalk, a 1.3 mile long trail, and the historical boat/warming house. The park is just as active in winter as in summer, with ice skating, hockey, broomball, hiking and fishing. Several ice fisherman have set up ice houses on the lake, which is a fun sight to see as you drive into the park.

Head out and have some fun. The physical address is 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road.
