volunteer firefighters in ColoradoThanks to our sponsor Stagecoach Sports Grill for stepping up to the plate and giving to our local fire departments. Stagecoach is a mountain style hangout with 14 LCD TV’s where you can watch your favorite teams, and experience their award-winning menu items and great service. It’s the perfect place to hang out with friends and watch “The Game.”

These shops and restaurants will be open during The Big Chili Cook-Off, so if you’re looking for a place to take a break during the event, be sure to stop in and see what’s here.

Who … Me?

We love all of our volunteers here at The Big Chili Cook-Off, but a couple of positions require a huge amount of work and organization and are critical to making the Cook-Off run smoothly. One of these is the volunteer coordinator who schedules hundreds of people to work throughout the festival.

Vicki Renfro is a local artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. For 15 years she worked as an engineer, but continued to enjoy her art and was able to display her work in Tucson galleries.

volunteer firefighters in ColoradoLiving in the mountains with the potential for huge snows, it’s important to have a well-maintained, easy-to-plow driveway. Does your driveway need repair or replacement? Are you tired of plowing over pits and holes, or do you just long for a beautiful, welcoming drive? Asphalt Artistry Inc. is located in the mountains of the Evergreen/Conifer area. The company’s owner, Shane Cook, has been paving driveways since 1993. Whatever your asphalt needs, Shane and his crew will perform beyond your expectations. It’s Not Just a Driveway… It’s a Work of Art. Asphalt Artistry can meet your needs for new installation, pavement overlay, driveway maintenance, recycling asphalt, and grading.

Shane runs a great company, but he also has a sense of community spirit and responsibility. He knows that when everyone comes together, fantastic things can happen. That’s why he’s once again supporting our mountain area volunteer fire departments by sponsoring The Big Chili Cook-Off in September. All of our volunteers and sponsors mean so much to us! Thank you Shane Cook and Asphalt Artistry!!

volunteer firefighters in ColoradoRob Walker, the owner of NAPA Auto Parts in Evergreen, understands the need for mountain area firefighters, and the commitment and courage of our volunteers. And he knows that it takes community involvement to keep our six mountain fire departments thriving.

He also *knows* auto parts. Not only does Rob know his product, but he and the folks at NAPA Auto Parts in Evergreen know what ‘good service’ means. They are well-informed and happy to help you find what you’re looking for, whether it is a product like bearings or a flywheel; or that specialty part you need to finish fixing up your American muscle car.

Now Celebrating 29 years at its Main Street location, there are also full service branches in Georgetown, Idaho Springs and Bergen Park. Their service will make you smile. Their commitment will make you stay.

The Big Chili is extremely appreciative of our local business sponsors like NAPA Auto Parts and Evergreen Nat’l Bank. Their commitment to the community and to funding our mountain area fire departments is stellar. Thank You!

volunteer firefighters in ColoradoMany of our business sponsors here at The Big Chili Cook-Off have a limited amount of marketing dollars. They need to decide how to best spend those dollars in the community, with the ultimate goal being success of their business.

However…

Here in the Evergreen area we have businesses with heart, and business owners who not only work here, but live in this community and care about it pretty passionately. These businesses have made the decision that their marketing dollars are best spent funding our local volunteer fire departments. And what do they get in return? They get the satisfaction of knowing they’re doing something quite important. And they get our heartfelt thanks.

Thank you Tuscany Tavern. If you haven’t eaten there, you really need to try it. This restaurant brings us a little taste of Italy nestled  here in our beautiful mountains, right at Evergreen Parkway and Squaw Pass Road. You can get a peek at the menu here.

And thanks to EDS Waste Solutionsvolunteer firefighters in Colorado which provides much more than trash removal. EDS offers excellent service and solutions that are not only effective but protect the environment as well. They can meet all your waste removal needs, whether that includes mountain pick-up, city roll-off services or recycling, or regular residential service. For contact information, check the EDS website here.
